Fri, Apr 11 8:00pm
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie will be performing at John Paul Jones Area in Charlottesville on April 11 at 8 pm in partnership with and in support of the University Programs Council!
The University Programs Council (UPC) is a student-led programming board that strives to enhance the UVA student experience through programing creative, educational, and entertaining programs for diverse audiences. UPC is hosting its annual Spring Fest Concert, and this year we are thrilled to announce that our headlining act will be American multiplatinum rapper, singer, and songwriter A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie! A Boogie is a leader in the current shifts in the Hip-Hop music industry and is making a stop in Charlottesville, performing at John Paul Jones Area on April 11th at 8 pm in partnership with and in support of the University Programs Council at UVA. Joining A Boogie on stage will be No Composure, a student-run band selected through UPC’s “Battle of the Bands” event where eleven bands played at the UVA Amphitheater in a friendly competition for this opportunity.
The performance marks an incredible year for A Boogie as he comes off his Better Off Alone Tour recently, dominating the hip-hop scene and giving stellar live performances. With billions of streams worldwide and millions of monthly listeners, the Bronx-bred artist has racked up several accolades during his career, including numerous Billboard Hot 100 placements, a feature in the Rolling Stone magazine’s 40 Best Rap Albums of 2016 list, and a BET Awards 2018 winner.
